Who is John Galt?

Just a sampling of current headlines with some links:

Also today:
We're told Obamacare won't hold down costs. And you may not get to keep your plan.

Is it just my imagination, or does this stuff read like it's ripped from the pages of Atlas Shrugged?

  1. I actually got wind of this thru my twitter via the #atlasshrugged reference i made on my own tweet (@ssalimukasa). I'm actually reading that book now. I'm a big Ayn Rand fan. I read Anthem a year after high school and became interested, so I looked up Ayn Rand online and watched some of her old interviews and read up on her objectivist epistemology via Wikipedia. She's a very unique and gifted thinker/artist. I'm a Ron Paul sympathizer as well because of Ayn Rand and how Paul was able to, very smartly, apply her theories within his politics.
And after reading some of your blog, I'm getting the sense that you're not a big Obama-enthusiast lol. Which is understable. But me...being black n all...I have a certain admiration for him that transcends politics. I believe he is a transformative figure who is good for America and what was needed during the turmoils and uncertainties of 2008. Now tho, I think his agenda has come under alot of scrunity, which is understandable since it's progressive, but I hope nobody goes crazy and kills him.
I dont think Republicans have much better to offer since neo-cons seem to have hijacked the party. I love libertarians tho, I wish there were more of them around in the repbulican party. The only man I would ever vote for over Obama is Ron Paul.
