Demise of the post-silver era dollar

I see U.S. silver dimes from 1964 and earlier are selling tonight on eBay, in bulk, for around $2.50 each.

Minimum wage in 1964 was a $1.25, or twelve and one-half dimes per hour.

At tonight's going rate on eBay, that translates to $31.50 an hour.

Still think that greenback in your wallet is sound money?
