You need an ID for an Obama rally.

Democrats argue requiring ID disenfranchises voters. But Democrats have no problem with requiring ID to attend an Obama rally. It happened in Ohio. Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign's Ohio press secretary is quoted at BuzzFeed Politics:
"We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out," she said. "We did this for every person who came in."
Democrats also require proper ID to attend their state conventions, and to gain admittance to government office buildings. You also need an ID to buy alcohol, cigarettes, medicine or even spray paint in many localities. Why do Democrats insist ID is essential to engage in everyday business, government or consumer transactions, but insist requiring ID to vote means people will be disenfranchised?
