Congessman Charlie Rangel speaks proudly of the gun control package championed by Governor Cuomo, and rushed through the New York legislature.
In an interview on MSNBC, Rangel says the New York law could be a trailblazer for other states, but that some may resist such measures.
"New York is a little different and more progressive in a lot of areas than some other states and some of the southern areas have cultures that we have to overcome.”
What exactly is he saying?
By what means does Rangel propose to, as he puts it, overcome those with different views on gun rights and of the Constitution than the ones he and his allies advance?
Is he talking brainwashing, as proposed by Eric Holder long before his rise to Attorney General? Or is Rangel talking something more direct, more forceful?
