Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) wants to make it exceedingly difficult to get the ammo that goes in your gun's ammo magazine. McCarthy wants restrictions on American's access to any ammo, for the matter.
McCarthy's House Bill 142 would require all ammo sellers be licensed, ammo purchases would have to be made in person (no Internet), and if you buy over a thousand rounds, you get reported to the police.
Should we take comfort that McCarthy's yet to attract a cosponsor? The bill's been referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
