I didn't sense much fire in today's presidential push for gun control. And he leaned way too much on the references to past shooting victims and those kids on stage.
I haven't seen the texts yet, but the subjects of the twenty-three executive orders targeting gun violence seem just so-so considering all the build up. I am intrigued at how elements of Obamacare overlap with gun control in the presidential orders. And how government resources will be used to wage anti-gun research and media campaigns.
But in true Obama fashion, the prez hands all the heavy lifting on an unpopular push over to the Congress, apparently hoping Republicans there are too weak to stand against the Democrats' assault on our Second Amendment rights. I suspect O knows any Republican who votes for a gun or mag ban is likey to be voted out of office in 2014.
