Revolvers, where art thou?

Curious about what I saw yesterday, I passed through a couple more gun stores today.

Still a decent selection of semi-auto handguns, but only a handful of revolvers in the sales cases. Maybe three or four at each store. Nothing in a used one.

So what's up with this? New shooters going for the simplicity of a revolver? Or do buyers think revolvers are less likely to be banned? Or maybe it's just the attraction that revolvers don't need a detachable magazine.

It amazes me that old school revolvers appear to be second only to ARs in terms of scarcity right now.
