Schumer wants retailers to stop selling what people are buying

From the New York Daily News:
Sen. Chuck Schumer will call for the nation’s largest gun retailers to voluntarily cease selling assault weapons while Congress debates stricter firearms legislation, the Daily News has learned.
The Daily News, which offers a link to a petition demanding more gun control in its online story, suggests the "moritorium" could be put in place by Saturday's Gun Appreciation Day being organised by pro-gun activists.

Should retailers expect disruptive protests at their stores if they don't comply with Schumer's moritorium? Will your favorite retailers bow to the pressure?

This may well be another sign Democrats do plan to go for broke, and make a full scale push for a ban this time. And that they'll up their efforts to provoke public scenes that they believe will be to their advantage.
