Wyoming governor seeks softer protest

While Wyoming's legislature moves forward on a bill that would exempt the state's residents from new federal gun restrictions, Governor Matt Mead reportedly prefers lawmakers would voice their protest with something like a symbolic resolution instead of a passing a bill with some teeth.

No real surprise here. While Mead's a Republican, endorsed by the NRA, and brags of owning guns, he's also a former federal prosecutor. Mead speaks of  responsible gun ownership. Is he suggesting compliance with attacks on Second Amendment rights would be the right thing to do?
