Connecticut is home to several gun making entities.
And gun makers are giving warning that they may up and move if Connecticut overreaches with gun bans and such.
Here's an ad from Connecticut-based Mossberg:
But the ad is almost too polite. I wish Mossberg and the others taking part in this campaign would clarify what "being part of the solution" means. It sounds like it could be a prelude to compromise. The campaign would be more enlightening if it outlined what gun makers deem acceptable versus unacceptable actions.
Gun makers have traded ground on the Second Amendment for political shelter in the past.
And if yesterday's article in the Washington Post is accurate, behind closed door compromise discussions are already well underway between some gun makers and those on the federal level who wish to diminish individual gun owners' rights.
