No breaking news in the report linked here. But it is becoming more and more obvious private gun owners are driving the on-going ammo shortage.
The run on ammo is driven by people voting with their wallets, expressing distrust of government; people who seek to circumvent new rounds of gun and ammo restrictions. Some folks freely admit they fear they'll need arms and ammo to resist a coming tyranny.
If government wants to ease the sense of alarm, and perhaps even lessen the national divide, politicians need to back off the various push more gun control.
Unfortunately, that won't happen. Those pushing ever harder for gun control are more interested in partisan politics than a united United States. They're the kind of people who believe a divided nation is easier manipulated for the kinds of political gains they seek.
