Enlightenment by way of federal closures

Ironic: The federal shutdown seems to reveal much about the controlling federal mindset.

It's just plain odd that the government attempts to exert more restrictions over people when it's closed than it does when it's open.

Does the government think we're suppose to close  our eyes and sit in the dark until it reopens?
