For those who insist the GOP can't win with "Tea Party" types..

Maybe they should review some history.

The GOP elites and middle roaders insisted that Reagan could not win in 1980.

Former President Gerald Ford was among Reagan's harshest critics:
It would be an impossible situation," Ford said of a Reagan nomination. He said the former California governor is "perceived as a most conservative Republican. A most conservative Republican an't win in a national election."
Sounds a lot like today's GOPer elites as they attempt to dismiss and revile conservatives like Ted Cruz.
