More DC-Ukraine madness

I can't imagine why anyone at DOD or in the executive branch would think this is a good idea, or even dare float it as a trial balloon.

From the New York Times:
The Pentagon and American intelligence agencies are developing plans that would enable the Obama administration to provide specific locations of surface-to-air missiles controlled by Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine so the Ukrainian government could target them for destruction, American officials said.
Helping Ukraine target separatist arms at what amounts to, in international terms, spittin' distance from the Russian border? Can't see how Russia would see it as anything but a direct provocation.

I dare say Russia takes its borders more seriously than Obama takes ours.
