Sowing the seeds of today's border crisis

June 15, 2012 is a key date in setting the stage for the immigration crisis involving unaccompanied children crossing our border.

It's the date President Obama announced he'd instruct the Department of Homeland Security to circumvent existing immigration law, and allow illegal immigrant 'Dreamers' to stay in the U.S.

No, Mr. Obama doesn't describe the circumstances of children arriving on our border as grounds to stay in the U.S.

But June 15, 2012 was the date the president broke with the written law of the land, telling immigrants here and those with intent to come in the future, that the rules were now flexible by executive order, and that the president would stretch things to benefit a pro-immigrant agenda.
