Elitist Democrats

Not sanitary, they say.

An abuse of taxpayer funds, they say.

Some Democrats on Capitol Hill want to crack down on members of Congress who sleep in their offices.

I think what Democrats mean is they want to limit office holders to being people of means who can afford expensive DC housing and other high costs of existing inside the beltway.

They want economic barriers to holding office to fend off potential challengers.

I see nothing wrong with a rep crashing in his/her office especially early in a first term, keeping them close to the business at hand while learning the wider lay of the land.
