The statist subvert the kids first because they are the most malleable to support the goals of the state. For years after the Bolsheviks took over Russia and it became the Soviet Union, there was an organization that was formed to indoctrinate the young, they are called the Young Pioneers and besides learning the tenets of Marxism, they also were used to spy on the parents and the kids would rat out their parents if they did something that violated the decrees from the local communist party commissar.
Our schools used to teach students about the indoctrination habits of Nazis and Communists. I wonder if they still do. Now too many of our government run schools seem to largely follow their pattern.

ReplyDeleteI wonder, I think the schools try to indoctrinate rather than teach, I keep track of what my son is being taught, and so far he has resisted it pretty good, He has refused to follow the crowd on these political protest. There was a school here in the county in Hampton where the social studies teacher tried to give homework to kids and have them write a letter espousing gun control and mail the letters off to the legislators. Well he got caught and got his weewee smacked. I wonder how many schools did this and nothing happened.
